We all, with unveils faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit. –2 Corinthians 3:18 (CSB)
Transformed. Not because of religion. Not because of works. Not because of guilt driving me to do something. Not because I belong. Not because of how bad I was or am. Transformed not because of who I am or who I am not; but because of WHO I KNOW. Transformed because I am looking at the glory of the Lord. Isaiah says, “Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth. For I am God and there is no other” (Isaiah 45:22). I am an imperfect man standing in the perfection and glory of Jesus Christ. Jesus brings change. He accepts me as I am but does not let me stay that way. Jesus brings visible & undeniable change. If I name the name of Christ, I name all that He is and is His (Psalm 99). Righteousness. Glory. Fairness. Justice. Mercy. Holy. It’s not to be taken lightly. Have you been changed? More times than not, I am a mess; but this morning I am thankful for forgiveness and hope that is in confessing Christ and confessing my sin (1 John 1:9). The fruit of our profession will be in our posture–a life reflecting the glory of Christ. Face Him. And glorify Him and the change He brings in you.
