“He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace that he lavished on us in the Beloved One.” Ephesians 1:5-6 CSB
I feel sorry for some people. I really do. All they have experienced in life is misfortune and near total rejection. I’ve tried to encourage and cheer up some people that express how things are so bad, and you know, sometimes I really do agree–wow, you have had it rough!
In light of yesterday’s sermon about Our Father (God), I pasted the above scripture out of Ephesians. Herein lies the most blessed news and truth, when you have Jesus no matter how bad life is, no matter how much misfortune seems to be your best friend, and no matter how many people or opportunities have rejected you–in Jesus you are accepted by God! With Jesus means we are co-heirs of all that is His. Don’t be deceived by this worlds goods or the relationships that you don’t have that you feel would lead to better opportunity. No, embrace the truth of Scripture that God did the work through His son, on the cross for you. Thank God that He made a way, a bridge, between despair and acceptance in Jesus. Thank God for that love. Thank God that in Jesus, You are accepted.
