For those of you who were baptized into Christ have been clothed with Christ. (Galatians 3:37 CSB)

Batman and Robin. Cowboys, Chiefs, and Indians. These are a few of the childhood characters that I chose to represent. I’ll admit, even as an adult I experience the roles of Chief and Indian more than I’d like; you know, when there are more Chiefs than Indians around. But I digress.

What does this have to do with me, you, Christ, and being accepted by God? Well as the verse above states, “clothed with Christ.” I love the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) translation, and particularly how it allows me to see this imagery so much better. In Christ, for those who have plunged into the limitless love and grace of Christ, we have a NEW IDENTITY. No, the suits of Batman and Robin do not compare, nor do the Chiefs or Indians. A follower of Christ Jesus, being baptized by His grace, has been accepted by God and has been clothed with Christ. Who you were is not who you are in the eyes of God. I thank God that in Christ I am changed, that my past is not held against me, and that the Holy Spirit in me is changing me more and more into who I profess to be…a Christian, one “clothed  with Christ.”
